About Us
The Ukrainian Jungian Association is the first legitimate Jungian association in Ukraine uniting professional Jungian analysts and therapists, and serves as the foundational body for training Jungian analysts in accordance with the international standards of the IAAP (International Association for Analytical Psychology).
We are an official group member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) — a global organization that establishes ethical, professional, and educational standards for the training of Jungian analysts.
The UJA represents the Ukrainian Jungian tradition in the global professional environment and actively participates in international educational initiatives, research programs, and professional dialogue.
IAAP (International Association for Analytical Psychology)
IAAP is the International Association for Analytical Psychology, founded in 1955 in Zurich.
It was established by the closest students of Carl Gustav Jung to preserve the integrity and quality of the analytical approach worldwide.
IAAP is an umbrella organization that:
- unites national Jungian associations (currently over 60);
- establishes standards for training, supervision, ethics, and certification of analysts;
- recognizes official Training Programmes in different countries;
- organizes congresses, conferences, educational projects, and supervisory initiatives (e.g., "With Ukrainian Jungians").
In other words, IAAP is a global community that upholds the "world standard" of analytical education, supervision, and analytical practice.

Our Journey
The development of the Jungian movement in Ukraine began with the support of IAAP. In 2004, the Kyiv Group was founded
Development and implementation of the router program — an international training format for countries that do not yet have their own training program.
In 2017, Ukrainian analysts who completed IAAP international training founded the Ukrainian Jungian Association as a professional community uniting Jungian practice in Ukraine.
In 2019, the UJA received Group Member status within IAAP.
In 2022, at the XXII International IAAP Congress in Buenos Aires, the UJA achieved a key historical milestone — IAAP Training Group status.
This gave Ukraine the opportunity to:
- create its own national training program for analysts;
- provide a full cycle of Jungian education within the country;
- integrate the Ukrainian community into the international professional network on equal terms;
- form its own, mature, national Jungian school.
