The demands towards the educational programs of theoretical training in analytical psychology:

1. The plan of the author’s program themes should contain the topics relevant to the list of topics mentioned in the attachment «The minimal list of topics for theoretical preparation in analytical psychology recommended by UJA (UJA, GM of IAAP) for the author’s programs (Attachment 1).
   
   
2. The number of theoretical hours must be no less than 360 academic hours, and the program should last no less than 2 years.
   
   
3. No less than 3 teachers members of UJA (UJA, GM of IAAP) should participate in the program. Purpose: the formation of collegiality, the acquaintance of the participants with the professional society, widening the experience, learning from different analysts. The distribution of hours among the teachers is regulated inside the program.
   
   
4. Students eligible for the program are professionals with higher education or the university students of the elder grades.
   
   
5. After finishing the programs the participants write the graduation «Diploma paper». In can be a description of a clinical case from their own practice or the analysis of an image from a chosen literary work using Jungian concepts.
   
   

It is recommended for the participants of the program:

To go through their individual therapy / analysis, group and individual supervision for the support of psychotherapeutical activity. Both certified Jungian analysts and Routers (Candidates receiving analytical training in the educational project of IAAP) can be chosen to be individual analysts.

The order of applying documents:

1. The author of the program should write a letter of application to the UJA secretary 6 months before the General UJA gathering (as planned, General UJA gatherings take place in February and September each year) and present:
   
   

• The plan / list of the topics included into the author’s «Basic theoretical training program in analytical psychology» mentioning the general number of theoretical hours planned by the program and the duration of the program;
  
  
• The list of teachers.
  
  

1. Go through the checking of relevance to the demands. The status «Recommended» can be received by a program after its being considered and approved at the General UJA gathering.
   
   

Provisions:

1. A program can be approved as «recommended» if it was started after 28.08.2019 (the date of UJA receiving the Group Membership of IAAP).
   
   
2. UJA accepts the status of the program as «The recommended basic theoretical training program in analytical psychology» in case when the program is relevant to all necessary demands for the «Basic program» and is approved at the General gathering of the UJA.
   
   
3. The alumni of the recommended basic programs receive a «Certificate» signed by the head of the program, the President or the Vice-President of UJA, mentioning: «The author’s course in analytical psychology recommended by UJA (UJA, GM of IAAP) as the basic training program in analytical psychology», specialization «analytically oriented psychologist».Information
   
   

Basic programs in analytical psychology recommended by UJA (UJA, GM of IAAP) relevant to all the demands currently are:

1. The Basic program by Inna Kyryliuk. The program consists of two stages of education: the 1st stage: «The basics of analytical consulting and Jungian psychotherapy» and the 2nd stage «Theoretical-supervision course «Jungian therapy»».

Attachment 1.

The minimal list of topics for the theoretical preparation in analytical psychology recommended by UJA (UJA, GM of IAAP) for the author’s programs.

І. Jungian understanding of personality and psychopathology.
1. Personality structure according to C.G. Jung (concepts of the consciousness and the unconscious, the theory of psychic defences, the developmental theory).

2. The theory of the individual psyche: Persona, Ego-complex and the Shadow of personality (the theory of complexes, C.G. Jung’s association test).

3. The theory of the collective psyche: the theory of arthetypes; the concept of the collective conscious and the collective Shadow.

II. Basic concepts of analytical psychology and their clinical use.

Mother Archetype and Mother Complex.

Father Archetype and Father Complex.

Anima.

Animus.

The Self.

III. Organizing Jungian analysis:

Analytical setting: defining the fee, the frequency of the sessions, opening up personal information by the analyst.

Stages of analysis. Defining and developing the client’s ability to work with images, symbols and imagination.

Ethical principles. Supporting the analytical and ethical attitude to working with clients.

IV. The practice of analytical psychology.The methods of activation and interpretation of the unconscious material.

Transference and Counter-transference theories. Working with the transference.

The theory of dreams and their interpretation.

Analytical methods of working with the unconscious material: active imagination (transcendent function); amplification; reductive, dynamic and synthetic interpretation. Interpretation of pictures.

Time for comments and other interventions.

Working with fairy-tales and myths.

V. Jung’s typological model.

Concepts of extraversion and introversion. Functions of consciousness: rational and irrational functions. The mandala of the type: the leading, the supporting, the tertiary and the lower functions. The principles of classification of the types of consciousness. Clinical application of the typology in practice.

VI. Psychopathology

The peculiarities of working with the patients with the narcissistic and borderline personality disorders.

Working with psychotic disorders.

Peculiarities of working with psychosomatic disorders, the trauma, etc.

VII. The preparation and the defence of the certification paper (supervision).

Mastering of the recommended topics of the basic program in analytical psychology is the necessary condition for further preparation in the training program for Jungian analysts of IAAP.
